Life Foundation
Author / philosophist / ‘guru’ Mansukh Patel and fellow-founders are, since 1975, the driving force of the Life Foundation. The Life Foundation became well known because of their ‘Eurowalks’ around the turn of the century. The Life Foundation holds courses on Dru Yoga, Dru Meditation, Bhagavad Gita and selfdeveloped courses on related subjects (keywords Life Foundation). In order to recruit new members, new courses and activity’s are developed where they use both ancient Hindu traditions and modern western influences.
Life Foundation, main office in North Wales (UK), has more than 15 property’s in use worldwide where (about 80) members live and have to work hard, isolated from the outside world, and (hundreds of) volunteers and students donate their energy and money.
LF owns a wholefood shop in Bangor (North Wales - "Dimensions"), runs a Bed and Breakfast, produces and sells books, cd’s, dvd’s, gifts and LF-branded clothing from their course centre (Snowdown Lodge). The main part of their followers are in the Netherlands and Australia, but also country’s such as Spain and Denmark are visited. They operate in the Netherlands under the brand name Life Foundation International. One can join their Dru Yoga teachers courses in various cities. This is a 4 year study, which is not recognised as such by the Netherlands Association of Yoga Teachers.
